I had no intention of buying a new house…my plan was to live in the Lankford house until the very end.

But as the old saying goes…”best laid plans”….or “we plan, God laughs.”

Either way, when I found the “Bogey House” I was immediately smitten. It is in an amazing neighborhood, breath-taking mature trees, the actual floor plan was ALMOST spot on….and the price was too good to be true. It wasn’t THAT bad, but the price gave me a lot of room to remodel it exactly the way I wanted it.

And so the journey began. I made a full price offer, closed on it in two weeks and took a huge leap of faith by buying it before my house sold. HUGE! Thankfully my house sold within 3 weeks.

You can check out the initial changes HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE…dang, pretty much the entire last half of 2020!

Most of the major demo and remodel was completed before we moved in. I am at the point in my life where I don’t want to live in a construction zone. But a lot of changes have been made since we moved in and I have shared those from time to time.

Each link should take you to a post with more pictures and even a few “makeovers.” So if you like the look of something, click on the adjoining link and you may find details of the space.

I featured THE KITCHEN and all the details HERE (I know a LOT of these pictures are from the holidays!)….

THE LIVING ROOM and den HERE….

I gave THE KITCHEN PANTRY a little makeover HERE….

THE BREAKFAST ROOM…almost identical to the dining room in the Lankford House.

HERE I shared the breakfast room makeover….

Board and batten and a new china cabinet!

HERE I shared how I added a glass insert to the pantry door….

THE MASTER BEDROOM received a much needed makeover HERE

THE MASTER BATHROOM is ever evolving….first the big changes featured HERE….removing the whirlpool tub, building a shower, tile, paint….

I love the board and batten in THE ENTRY…featured that HERE….

As you may notice in the “Board and Batten Feature” THE DINING ROOM is ever evolving as well…it is a fun space to decorate for every holiday!

THE HALL BATHROOM…probably the only room in the house that was pretty much 100% when we moved in. I shared the transformation HERE

THE DEN…It has evolved a tad. I removed a cabinet that was at the base of the built ins and added additional shelving. HERE I refaced the fireplace and featured a new paddle fan.

We love this space…it is perfect for the two of us.

THE LAUNDRY ROOM…I absolutely love this room, as much as one can love a laundry room. Before we moved in I painted the walls and ceilings, installed new lighting, changed out the tops and sink, and my favorite change, added a window. I have since removed a wall, painted the cabinets, added a coffee bar and tiled the floors.

THE ALL SEASON ROOM. I first shared this room HERE and the importance of some of the pieces in it. Again, ever evolving. HERE I shared the “cat box cabinet” and HERE I shared the new couch. This Christmas I turned this into our “Stewart plaid” room since there are already pieces in this room that pay tribute to my family.

I featured another sitting space HERETHE SCREENED PORCH! This is a space we use a lot when it is warm! Coffee in the morning, dinner in the evening.

I have since moved the bar high table originally in the all-season room onto the screen porch but it is still a lovely space!

THE GUEST BATHHERE I shared a little “refresh”…as well as why I NEVER planned to do anything to this room and why I did…

THE GUEST BEDROOM…not much different than the guest bedroom in the Lankford House that I shared HERE…that room was pretty much moved into the Bogey house!

The only real changes were the addition of a few “family heirloom” pieces. More Bermuda and Hawaii water colors that were my Mom’s, the walnut table that use to sit in the entry and a piece we have always referred to as the “Furr dresser” since it was originally my great-grandmother Furr’s and would have been in the “Furr House.”

I shared the amazing “rediscovering” of the house HERE.

THE SHOP…this may be my absolute favorite thing about this house. HERE I shared how a big ole’ ugly vinyl storage building was transformed into a precious little shop…

MY OFFICE….This is a great room…spacious, large walk in closet, tons of natural light, high ceilings. I finally gave it a little makeover HERE….

Soon I will share a few other spaces throughout the house.
